I know this may seem like a strange concept, and to be honest, it was very strange for me, but this was a recent project I did in my ENGL 202D class. The assignment was “to select a term or identify a process from your field of study or from an area of interest that may be confusing to a particular audience.” I figured this would be a great topic because it is something I am familiar with, yet the average person is generally not.

When I first brought the topic up with my professor, she just gave me a confused look. I had to explain to her that PHP is a programming language commonly used by web developers. I also explained I was writing the definition in an effort to educate young web developers who may only be involved in XHTML and CSS but are looking to expand their knowledge. She agreed with the idea, but asked me how I would deliver my message. I had a few options: article for a newspaper or magazine, a brochure, a section of some larger document such as a report or text book, or a web page. I am sure most of you can guess which topic I choose, so without further ado, What Is PHP?.

P.S. I know the styling and overall look of the page isn’t that great, but it was for an English project in which I was the only student to do a web page. For only a few hours of work (including research, writing, and creating the page), I would say it came out just fine.

Unfortunately, my time with InfoGenius has come to an end. As much as I enjoyed working with everyone at InfoGenius (believe me they are great people and have an excellent startup work environment), I have decided to focus 100% of my time towards Spiral Web Consulting.

I still highly recommend all of their sites and the services they provide. I know I personally have a few listings over on the PHP section of Codango. I have also used the site on multiple occasions to find scripts quick and easy. They filter their resources to keep all irrelevant links out of the site. I also have first hand experience at how hard they work to keep their fans not only happy, but “raving” about the site.

As a final shoutout for InfoGenius, I would also like to recommend Alert Bot. Alert Bot is not only cheaper than its competitors, but from my experiences working with the Alert Bot team, they really have their stuff together. If you want to ensure that your site does not experience downtime, then I would highly suggest looking into this solution.

I’d like to welcome everyone to my site. I recently decided that it was time for me to stop being lazy and actually take some time to sit down and make my own site. A few days ago I sat down and really wanted to let everyone know about a new improvement to my company’s Google Analyticator plugin. So, I realized it was time to get my own space so I can express different events that occur in my life.

For those of you who are interested in finding out what the new feature of Google Analyticator is, please check out the article my business partner (Ronald Heft) already wrote.

I hope to give some sort of positive experience to anyone and everyone that visits this site, so stay tuned. I have some big plans for this site!
